Dr. Joeng graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1999.
He is currently Chief of Service and Consultant Surgeon of the Department of Surgery, United Christian Hospital. He is also serving as Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of Faculty of Medicine at both The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Joeng is specialized in minimally invasive colorectal cancer surgery and advanced endoscopic surgery. He underwent overseas training under the supervision of Prof Junji Okuda at Osaka for laparoscopic colorectal surgery, Dr Antonio Lacy at Barcelona for transanal total mesorecctal excision and Dr Yutaka Saito at Tokyo for endoscopic submucosal dissection.
Dr. Joeng is actively engaged in surgical education and training. He currently serves as Examiner of Fellowship & Membership Examinations and Councillor of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong, Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Society of Coloproctology.
